Last week, hundreds of students from six Calgary schools had the chance to ask questions, get autographs, and hear from Omar El Akkad. Schools received copies of both books to add to their resource libraries, and free bussing to the venue thanks to our donors. Amongst many memorable exchanges, this seven-minute interaction with an aspiring writer is the gift that—and here it’s no cliché—keeps on giving. Please share widely.
